COPA and COGECA have read with great interest the draft scientific opinion on the implications of animal cloning on food safety, animal health and welfare and the environment published by EFSA

They welcome in particular that EFSA has decided to launch an extensive public consultation on this important topic. Levies for milk quota overruns total € 221 million

The levies for Member States exceeding their milk production quotas come to almost € 221 million for the 2006/07 marketing year, according to a provisional calculation by the European Commission, based on Member States' annual declarations
